A Message From Chancellor Jim Henderson and the 2011 BPCC 100 Committee

On behalf of our 2011 Event Chairperson Billy Wayne Montgomery and members of the BPCC Foundation board of directors, we would like to thank each of you who supported the 3rd Annual BPCC 100 Mini NASCAR Race presented by Encana Oil and Gas (USA), Inc. We are happy to report that we surpassed our financial goals and raised over $57,000 to benefit students attending Bossier Parish Community College. THANK YOU!

We extend our most sincere appreciation to our 2011 Title Sponsor Encana Oil and Gas and their Community Relations team, led by Steve Short and Pat Maliszewski. In addition, we wish to thank our 2011 BPCC 100 racing teams; KTBS, CUMULUS, CHESAPEAKE; NW LA Technical College and all of our community partners whose generous support enabled us to reach new heights. Finally, this event would not be possible without a caring group of volunteers. With more than 150 workers from the community; corporations and the BPCC campus, it was this combined effort that made the difference and we could not be more grateful.

Next spring, the results of your efforts will manifest in the lives of students – our friends and neighbors - who will be granted access to a college education. They will walk through the doors of BPCC as scholarship recipients with funds raised at the BPCC 100. Together, we are changing lives. We are embracing new opportunities to build a stronger, more well-educated workforce. We are educating the leaders of tomorrow and we are empowering a new generation to take control of their own destiny. Thank you for embracing the vision.

The Event

Get ready to raise some serious money for a serious cause: To keep students in school at Bossier Parish Community College. Brought to you by Encana Oil and Gas (USA), Inc., this event is two days of high energy, mini NASCAR^® - type racing where adult drivers zoom around the BPCC speedway in customized go-karts with NASCAR body styles. Teams will compete for bragging rights of having the fastest vehicle in the MAIN EVENT and will also compete for “Best Looking Car,” “Best Dressed Pit Crew,” and “Fastest Pit Crew;” Also, with plenty of food vendors and fun to spare, kids will have a blast with activities in the “Kids Pit Stop” fun area sponsored by the Simple Church, while adults compete for that coveted 1st Place Trophy to be announced at the “Chesapeake Energy Trophy Presentations.” And don’t miss the big “Crank It Up” Tailgate Party Friday, September 23rd where “live entertainment and grillin’ at its best kicks the event into overdrive on opening day!
